I put it up because It looked almost body shaped like a Mayan. This ditch canal is only two feet deep right now. On top of the Salvini their or Tilapia Maries, Mayans up to 18", Largemouth Bass, Grass Crap, Catfish, Sunfish/Panfish, and a small amouth of Plecos, mollies and gambusias.
I netted a smaller Salivni about 5 miles away. I will say that all these canals feed from the Griffin Road Canal. The smaller the canal say Ditch Style the easier it is to catch. Not all places have Salvini but they have long been established. Ive been catching them for years.
I was glad they wernt wiped out in the freezes over the past two years.
