hi all i am new here.just want to share some pics of my vieja cichlid.
I've been wondering if this is a bifas so please do give me some advice.
Is it pure or hybrid?at what size will it be able to mate?

Looks more like Hartwegi or Guttulata to me.

Definatly not Argentia or Bifasciata
 
Ive seen a few different veijas that look all similair but not identifiable and i do know of a hybrid that may be floating around, coatzacoalcos x fenstratus. i dont know if i spelled the first one right lol ive had a couple myself and the ones i had looked like a zonatus and coatzacoalcos. Not sure if this helps anyone but they may have started getting passed around late last year/early this year. that fish pictured above looks close to the ones ive had and it does look good. I wish there was an easy way to determine fish like take them to a fish dr and do a lil dna work and get your answere lol
