well the tailspot would say festae not URO, on the white fry.
and as for the main picture, I do see theresemblance to rainbow cichlids but at that size all cichlids look the same, they all have that same striping pattern. until that fades we really dont know...

they could be a random Amphilophus species. I don´t know wether they have the spot from birth or if they get it afterwards
 
The guy in the store said he would keep them for a couple of weeks for me. As they are still a little too small and they need quaranteening. I might see if they fade, change etc then decide whether to purchase. I will keep you all posted on what they end up like. And hopefully they will be festaes, the store is usually quite reliable - but he did say that he doesnt usually order from this supplier. So who knows...

yeah thats the problem, my lfs sold me a synspilum that was a Bifa. its not their fault that they ordered in Syns and were given Bifas. its the supplier that should be on top of what fish they are selling.
