owh really?thanx guys for id...so its a jaguar cichlid...anyone here got info how to rear this jag?character?feeding?etc..

Jaguars are great fish males tend to be meaner than females and they grow larger. If you run into aggression problems lower the temp to around 75 so long as your other fish will be comfortable at that temp. Lower temp seems to help aggression. You should be fine just as long as your tank is big enough should have at least 6ft 125 gallon to house jag with tankmates. Nice fish for free. thats funny guy at the pet store didnt know the most popular parachromis species.

Thanx guys..well it is funny after knowing all this that guy gave it for free...hahaha lol
I keep the jag in my 180g together with monos PB. Noticed that the jag a bit bossy that he already marked his territory and tried to chase smaller monos to-get-the-hell-out-of-my-corner..haha
