I paid like 10-15 for my tiger, but TSNxRTC are a lot less common, and are really cool imo, its really what you want to spend. But you could try shrimp, bloodworms, nightcrawlers, take some tilapia fillets and cut em into small strips that it could eat. But don't over feed, if you get it, keeps the lights out for the rest of the night, and feed in the morning, while still keeping the lights out till you see some activity. Try feeding once a day till you have witnessed it eating, then you can bump up the feedings. Good luck on the mint monster. Beautiful fish!

You guys are getting me so excited! Can't wait to go pick her up tonight! And the LFS is asking $25. Maybe a tad cheaper because the fins are a little nipped up & they're having difficulties feeding it.

Don't panic if it doesn't eat for you. Take your time, with patients it will eat. Pretty soon it'll eat a lot. Almost seam non stop eating lol

oh and btw they go for $70 here at 5"

I'd wait til it eats well and is healed up before buying it. It can be simply adjusting or it can be ill. If your LFS cannot get such a fish to start eating, I'd be wary about buying from the LFS too. No serious, honest LFS would sell a fish in distress that is not even eating anyway. If your LFS wants to do it, I'd stay away from it.

In NY state such fish go for $10-$20 at 3"-4". 7" - may be $20-$30.

Mine grew to 3' in 2 years. Means in 2 years you will need a 12'x6'x~3' tank for it.
