Ok a little bit non-fish related. In the pictures below is a snake seen at the local dam. My friend is the one that took the picture, he said they called the DNR of Ohio to come and check it out and they said they didn't know what kind of snake it was. As for a size reference the catfish in its mouth is 10lbs. Anyone have any idea what kind of snake this is?

Water Moccasin?? (Agkistrodon piscivorus)
 
a 10 lbs cat fish like that is usually at least about 20'' long, then the snake is like 14' long! that snake seem to be an adult Agkistrodon piscivorus, a very common water snake in North America which can only grow to about 4'-6' long!
 
Well I wasn't there to see it but they guy I know was and he said it was around a 10 lb catfish. I mean they didn't take it from the snake and weigh it and they also said the snake was about 8ft but idk just going by what they said

And the DNR was there an they didn't know what it was. You would think they'd know
