Wow, lol, not sure how I missed this thread. I'd snatch that baby up! And if you do but don't really want it see if they will ship!!! ;)
 
The white crumbs look too big for it to be ick - they look like the same size and color as sediment pieces on the bottom. "Look" is the key word... as with any poor pic.

About a foot? If I didn't know that, I'd guess at least 1.5'-2'. Misleading...

I agree with what has already been stated. I would hate to try and make an ID off the pic provided. Difficult angle since most fish are ID from side shots. I can only say looks like Oxydoras sp. at this point. Better quality pics, different angles, and possibly different lighting may help make a determination. If the price isn't bad i don't see how you can go wrong if you are looking for a large catfish. The species in this genus are very personable. :) they also don't usually eat their tankmates.
 
He is an awesome looking fish and wasn't to pricey so that's why I was thinking about getting him :p
