Its not illegal to keep them its illegal to go out and catch them living, you could probably find a fish farm that has creek chubs and other natives you can make an order from

It may not be a rainbow but it's definetly some type of trout, maybe a brown trout? And yes they can live in a pond and yes I'm pretty sure they are illegal to own.

Nope, it is not a trout! It's just a chub, I've fished and caught both chubs and trout plenty of times.

I would vote trout over chub. Laws on keeping wild caught fish vary widely from place to place, including laws against releasing fish into (or back into) the wild.

What it makes you think that it's a trout and not a chub? I cant believe there are people that can't tell the difference between a trout and a minnow...its 100% minnow, not trout.
