Hikari Sinking Gold Pellets, Algae Wafers, any type of sinking pellet really. Leave it overnight, if he is the only pleco in the tank it will be shy and will prefer to eat when lights are out and when no one is around.

if the food doesn't get eaten just do a small water change the next day and i've found that pleco really enjoy cabbage or zucchini
