If you compare the JDs at the beginning of the video, living in deeper, darker areas, of Eden cenote in Mexico, with the JDs at, and after 3 minutes in shallow areas where the substrate is light and sunlit, their coloration is quite different.

I've never seen the vertical bars of a lyonsi split into "Y" at the top.

looks trimac so for arguments case you should call it a low grade flowerhorn, like calling a rd or midas pure unless its from rapps or the like!!
the ca/sa scene on mfk is so clicky about these things lol.

yes you are, you cant tell genetics with your eyes lol... flowerhorn is just another word for hybrid, flowerhorn is a hybrid deriving from trimac, thus ones that look almost the same as trimacs are considered low grade fh, i went through this the other week with the mod RD over a trimac look alike i have. that jd dont look right to me and at least one other member and we are all allowed or opinions but the 'fact' is we cant say any ca's are pure anymore unless from a reputable source can we? sure a jd is a jd but to believe it must be a pure jd from one odd looking pic that ppl have questioned is silly... hence the guessing.
