That arrow will get big fast.
That's what I hear everyone say ,lol I'm new to the arowana ,but the guy that I buy my fish from said if my aro grows out my tank he will swap it out for me ,so that I always have a aro,lol what to do ,I like this fish its my favorite

Take the advice from Kno4te, or keep your eye on Aro.
I do keep a eye @ my aro ,the only problem I'm having is if there's sudden movements outside the tank my aro goes crazy ,swimming fast ,hitting the glass ,jumping hiting the roof, inside notting bothers it,like yesterday I added a fire eel and he was exploring the whole tank but the aro was normal, also I notoiced if we set in front of the tank the aro backs into the conner don't know why(mind my spelling)

Aro's are very easily spooked, you will have to approach aquarium slowly until Aro gets use to this, btw I understand what your saying:)

Is your lid locked or have weight on it? If not Aro are very good jumpers, lost mine about a year ago was 14 inches.

Definitely one of my favorite fish species. Polypterus senegalus. super active. they will cruise your tank all day long while growing an inch a month until they hit like 14". Awesome fish
They'll grow fast as juvies to about 5-6" maybe 8" then slow down tremendously. Don't expect a CB sen to get past 10" most times it will even stop around 8".

Personally I have had the same results. But one day I went into my local store and purchase a behemoth senegalus that was about 13" and fat. He unfortunately launched himself out of a small crack in the lid. Then I started to believe they may grow bigger and mine just aren't old enough yet. Mine are all sitting pretty at 9" and my buddies is 10"-11".

While yes there are these freak stories of large CB sens, the average sen will most likely not hit 13". Getting past the 10" mark is hard enough as it is. Some can do it, but even if they do they don't go too far past it.
