Mine have them and have had them. It's a diagnal line running across the top tip of the fin.

I've seen a zebrina owned by James Decker on FB that has a really pink belly. The guess is that the pink belly signifies female.

So yours would be a male.

I don't think so. Both male and female share the colors. Only way is to vent them.
