Yeah I read the thing too on fb and I was really confused although not surprised since it was coming from Ollie... Even rapps has a picture CLEARLY differentiating btwn. 1 and 2 in case anyone new to pikes is wondering what the diff was . Lucanus isn't as reliable as lot of people think. Few "bold" claims here and there but is usually a rock solid guy) but regardless of that he is an extremely knowledgable source and gets really awesome fish etc. not trying to attack him but personally I think what he's saying about the designation is a load of crap (which I think many think like wise). The whole world (or at least the community of knowledgable pike keepers) is using a completely different designation than he is and has been for years ever since the beginning. On top of that I'm also very skeptical of him being the first to discover the atabapo sp. pikes... What proof does he have?? Even if he was, the whole world is calling one of them A1 and the other A2 and likely will not change until the species gets described...
