The above mentioned fish were all in the same tank. The cons would spawn and guard the fry for about a week and lose interest. I think the pictus took care of them at night. The female jd got fat for a while and would nest with the nica. The miracle part is where I found them. In the corner of my fishroom, I have a 40 gallon barrel that I use for water changes. When I need water it's already treated and heated. When filling the bucket I don't treat until full and I am not that careful about temp. When adding to tank I drop in a submersible pump with a hose and pump into the tank. At some point I removed a piece of jungle val from the tank that they had uprooted and for some reason tossed it in the bucket. When scoopin out water for the fry tank I saw something move in the water and netted it. So they survived temps from the 70's to 90's, chlorine and a pump. That's why I call them miracle fish. And yes there is a second one, only a bit smaller.

Awesome! Sounds like it's just an extra-gorgeous convict then. Grow it out and we'll know more :)

Thanks for your input. Will update as they grow.
