What kind were around there?
Appear to be painted turtles.
Occasionally a box shows up. Red ear sliders by the lakes. Some snappers.
Most are babies except the sliders and boxes.

Right.There are plenty of red ears and snappers down in the creek in the nearby park.

oh yaaaa! I tried to catch him and he was gone in a sec. I was mostly afraid to kill him by accident so I just stopped chasing him lol
I can teach you and old secret how to catch any lizard with a long piece of grass, guaranteed. I just worry about making it public knowledge.

Bro this reply just brought back a memory that I forgot. When I was maybe maybe 7 or 8 I was at a park near my dads work that always has hundreds of geckos and use to go there and catch them and one time I grabbed one by it’s tail and i didn’t know they could detach from the body and didn’t see the lizard run off but I went to check him in my hands cause I could feel it squirming around so I open my hand and there’s just a tail and I started crying because I didn’t know what was going on and thought I grabbed a dead lizard or something
