I don't know about C. cincta... the ones in the pics look like pretty much any juvenile of the spangled pikes(lucius, saxatilis, lepidota, proteus, so on and so fourth...)

I totally agree, doesn`t look like a cincta to me either.
 
I think I have a lucius and this pike seems to have a shorter snout and head than my lucius. It looks similar but the head makes me agree with a cincta or another species.
 
I'm just saying its a saxatilis group (Just my opinion) and that narrows it down to like 50 species. They are harder than heck to ID at that size... they all look the same.
 
Any Saxatilis is a friend of mine. Easiest and prettiest (IMO) group of pikes there are.
