Id/Sex Please

I Believe I have a True Trimac Cichlid or 3 Spot Cichlid, I have no idea on how to sex this or if you even can at the age. He/She is around 6 months old I was told and Has amazing color In water, Sorry for bad pictures. Thank you for your time

Thanks for your posts, how would one learn to Sex Fish, Like is there a guide for most American cichlids?

generly its the fin pattern with must(not all) south central and north american cichlids males eventualy get pointed anal and dorsal fins femals stay curved. some species the pattern is differnt such as a dovii wolf cichlid

You Can also do venting and size judgment. And by the looks of him he is getting a nice nuchal hump
