Mine are going to most likely when they are adults end up in a giant indoor pond (and by pond... I mean a big kiddie pool LOL XD) or i REALLY want to build a DIY plywood aquarium which is going to be around 1500 gallons if i build it... (may be bigger because for 3 of these guys i think you could use an even bigger space...) But for right now they are still small. :)

I got a question... Do these guys like alot of current in their tank? i got a new powerhead and am not sure if they really need it because i have a really big airstone already for them. But i would think that they like current as they are river fish...

I have a very small one in A 75 I'm growing out for someone. There is a side with more current, and it stays away from that side. Mine is eating omega one flake and bloodworms, but it took almost a week before I saw it eating.

I guess that I won't use the powerhead afterall... I'll just return it and I can get my 20 dollars back. Thanks alot for the reply, I appreciate it! :D

well... im gonna ry feeding them in a few minutes... wish me luck! :)

everytime I get ID sharks they end up starving to death or not growing fast enough and get eaten by their tankmates. which is a shame cause I really like them. I might get a few to grow out in my 120 brackish (they are naturally occuring in brackish water) then put them in the 225 when they get too large.
ID shark is brackish fish? they live mostly in fresh water and barely enter brackish, and the 225 will be too small.

Mine have stopped growing at about 4" and 7". Lately they have also stopped eating and I'm afraid they might die soon. They got hooked on Blood Worms and now won't eat anything else. I don't have enough money to be buying blood worms every few days so I don't know what do now. Just a helpful top don't feed them Blood Worms!

I buy the "lunchbox" at petsmart. It's 15$ and has like 50 cubes of bloodworms. Part of having giant fish is having a giant food expense. If its too much to buy frozen, I think anyone can buy a Rubbermaid and a bag of topsoil to grow their own worms.

I didn't think they were brackish... I think he may have gotten them confused with columbian sharks???
