ID Silver Dollar

That's black bar silver dollar. i just pick 6 up last weekend for $50 each...you got a real good deal. even $17 is still a deal. you don't see it around.

im gettting more porbally another half dozen more.
 
here how it look like when it hit 6-7" or so..my friend have 3 and she looking for more. it's rare silve dollar.

Me to. I've seen the reg. Black bar and I've seen redhook black bared who get to 10''+.

Unfortunately, my peacock bass killed the smaller one, so only got one left now :(

both eye got suck out :(

I've been looking for some for a while now, can find any small ones, one place had 2 bigger speciemens, expensive and the big one picked on the other. Cant ever order them from the pet shops, no luck. I am certain that sooner or later I will find a small group of small specimens I can buy, not a big hurry.
 
After reading this thread, all I can say is that I got lucky to buy 9 pcs of wild caught silver hook black/thick bars for $25.00 each from our LFS. They're all 4 inches and I'm looking forward to see them all grow. I just noticed that their scales are more glittery gold than silver and their thick bars somehow fades when I turn my tank lights on.
 
Oh, so pretty! Wish my lfs would carry more diff species, but I've only seen the common types once themselves.
