Hi
I bought these plants and want to know their id and lighting requirement.
What type of discus are these? Sunset Blushing? They are still young and I cannot make out their type.
Thanks.

Also there were these fluoreoscent lamps of 6500K and 10000K and 20000K available in 18Watts. They were like ordinary tubes in colour of red for reefs. Do I need these for plants? and how many for my 36x20x24 75Gallon tank?

The LFS told me names but I forgot. One was like bamboo and I forgot the others. I got the yeast sugar thing on my own. And bought fertilizer pellets. I bought two 20000K red lights. I guess I need more lights. Still need help with the names though.

pic 4 looks like mondo grass and are not aquatic plant. had some in my tank and rotted. threw it in the yard and it grew.

yes be cautions of what planst you bye from lfs..sometime owner dont know better think the plants they got from wholeseller is a aquatic plants but actually isnt. Bring a small handbook about aqua plants if you go to lfs. That way you know what plants to stay away from.Better yet choose the planst you want to buy now before you get it.Different plants have different requirements. Dont buy them just because it looks beautiful without special care it will die/melt etc..that means your money is flying away.

If you want some low-mid tech i say 2 watts per gallon and up but you have to stick with plants like annubia, ferns, crypts, swords. Those dont really need ferts but of course it would be better if you added.

he meant CABOMBA. The ones you have is CABOMBA CAROLINA from what i see here. The discus you have looks like Tangerines Discus or White Diamond Discus.

Its very difficult to recognize every plant. And I can say keeping them is much harder.

How do I put the fertilizer in the tank. Will the discus be ok with the fertilizers? DO I need C02 if I got fertilizers. C02 is can be more dangerous?

too much co2 injection can be harmful to fish if you dont have a ph controller or a drop check which inidcates in colors when you have too much co2.

Per your request on pm. Here's a alot of pictures of my 4 tanks which still undergoing aquascaping. I put in pix with flash on camera and without flash so you can get clear picture of my plants.
