Pout, you are right that the two fish shown in your pictures are very similar. As is the case w/ most "saxatilians," the differences are subtle and to argue over them can be a little petty. At risk of feeding PP's already-healthy ego, (I say that in as kind a way as I am able)
I have to agree w/ him that the fish-in-question looks like a C. anthurus. The collection locality is consistent, as is the humoral blotch and the suborbital marking. Notice the light-colored, wedge-shaped suborbital marking and the round humoral blotch. I believe that these are characteristic of anthurus, while the fish in your picture shows a dark, line-shaped suborbital marking and an irregular humoral blotch; these are more characteristic of lepidota pikes.
