I caught them today in South Miami and have no idea what they are... the canal was full of peacock bass and I caught these with a net close to the shore in a bunch of hornwort. The big one has a really nice rainbow-like color going on... he has lots of yellow with dark spots and red/orange fin edges - they're all washed out since they've been in a 5gal bucket for about 6 hours... I'll post more once they settle down

cant wait for the updates! subscribed. looks like 2 different species to me. the extremely dark stressed one with the eye marks looks like an acara

yeah I'm pretty sure that is some type of acara. it appears also that there is two of them. the large on, i have never seen one like him

IDK the species, but it must be nice being able to catch fish like that.

Here's another of the small ones... he has much more yellow than you can see in the pic (the black things are tadpoles that I caught to feed my Salvini... I got like 300 of em lol)

man, if i was in florida, i'd just catch all the fish i want from the lakes and streams.

I saw a few bass chilling around the hornwort carpet where I caught these... they kept jumping out of the water like white sharks lol

and something that looked like a Severum mixed with green terror... it was pretty amazing but too smart, it took my bait 3 times without biting the hook so I gave up

2 smaller striped ones are Tilapia mariae. larger one is an Oreochromis (possibly O. niloticus or cross there of).
