Id these geos

they have started showing a spot now similar in placement and size to the heckels, does this make a difference in id?

Geophagus altifrons is the hobby "surinamensis" and according to Paul V. Loiselle, the true Geo. surinamensis is very rare and hardly ever been available in the hobby.

thats what i thought but i have caught them showing the big spot on occassion and i cant find a pic of juvie altilfrons showing this. I would love them be something great as paid very little for them. got go now to big als and work but please keep helping.

correction: the hobby "surinamensis" according to Loiselle is the Geophagus proximus, not altifrons.
