ID these guys please?

nice bankanensis. Hardly seen in LFS here, quite strange considering this guy is native indonesian fish. Iused to have 5, but they are died. Miss em much

Thanks,any clue on which of the two different sized Bankanensis species this could be or how to tell as they mature?

I asked a similar question on a different forum recently and apparently there's no way of telling the difference of the two types. You can however sex them at around the 10~12 cm mark when the females start to show lots of rusty red colouration on their flanks.

That's cool,thanks for the info! I was looking through threads you've posted and didn't see anything about Bankanensis,do you own some?

No unfortunately not lol but I was thinking of getting a small group. Not being able to tell the size differences in the two varieties and the fact that banky's like super soft water (ph 3~4) put me off a bit. Good luck with yours though.
