ID these Perches

Anyone can help, ID the following 2 perches:

Not a perch expert but both seem
to be Nile perch (lates niloticus)

I've kept those, they seem to be Nile perch or at least look exactly like the ones I bought which the guy said were nile perch.

Yep. Lates Niloticus aka nile perch . I'm housing 3 of them . Cool fish!

I dont think so :-s. But I'm no expert tho . I have 3 right now. When they're in the 75 with my dats and bichirs, they dont have any patterns or stuff. Just a dark brown. Sometimes they color up a bit. But when I moved one to a 10 with my 6" gars. He showed great patterns! Will try to get pics tmr

I had one years ago when I was keeping African cichlids.It ate pellets like a champ.

2nd pic is mine, got it as a Royal Congo perch, imported from US(Toyin)
1st pic is from another hobbyist, who got it as a Nile Perch.
Just wondering, if there are real diff btw them?

See there ya go...I think the whole Royal thing is a con to capitalize and jack up the price for Nile perches that look a certain way.
