I'm gonna guess pumpkinseed or bluegill and I'm leaning towards bluegill. Do they have a dark spot on the soft portion of the dorsal fin? They don't appear to be greens, body proportions are wrong, even for their size.

I agree. Not greens. We can definitely rule that out. I'd guess pumpkinseeds or maybe bluegill. When they're that small, there are quite a few pretty subtle details to look at to differentiate them, so that makes an ID from a picture like that very difficult

Hmmm, I think they are 2 different fish, look again at the length of the tail on the back compared to the front, What do you think now??
They look kinda faded, hybrids?
I'm not a Sunfish expert, but I do believe I'm a Bluegill expert :grinno: (ive caught hundreds of them) and they look like young Blurgills under 4'' how big are they?

Look like one inch pumpkinseeds. I have one (had three) that I'm sure are pumpkinseed, looks identical.

The one in the front I can id for sure as a bluegill. Look closely at the blurry photo. Even though faded, the fish has the characteristic double vertical bars of the bluegill
