ID these rays please (with pics!)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What is the difference between orbignyi and humerosa? I noticed the rays have spiny top of their tails where the tail meets body, if that helps identifying them :)

Better top pics:

I just picked them up and put in my 150g. They are eating some shrimp as we speak... hopefully they'll get big and fat.

figure a minimum 18" disk and 36" total length with tail....glad ya got them they are a lil skinny but if they are eating shrimp you should be okay...

Update on the rays... They're both eating extremely well. The male started off better, but both are sitting on the bottom right now after a massive meal of shrimp. I'll try to get a pic of their big ass bellies soon :)

I noticed their back is a little rough - they have "dimples", on their backs, alot of them. Does that help identifying them? I'll see if I can't a pic of that too :)

Also, who do I contact to change the subject of this thread? That way I don't have to start another thread documenting their progress.

Another update... see how they're coming along..

Oh and if anyone has answer to my previous questions, then feel free to shoot :)

You must agree that he's getting quite a bit fatter than when I got him. On this pic he just ate a bunch of shrimp. The female is a bit more camera shy, but eats like a champ :)

They also got some tankmates last night, 6 discus
