one is a male blackbelt about 5-6in he looks pure but ive neve seen pics of them at this size so im not sure.
the second is a large 11-12in synspilum i bought a couple months ago and the guy told me that she was a syn. but she doesnt look like any syn ive seen.
to top it off the two im needing id on have made a pair and layed eggs once already but i removed them cause i didnt want WWIII in the 135gal cause i have my trio of geo altifrons in there with no problems thus far. any way here are pics. ive even got some of the black belt in breeding dress.

the 4th one up from the bottom looks like a syn...one on top might be 100%bb

Man, JMO, but both look pretty suspect. The BB is close but the body shape seems off and more closely synspilum or close relative. Couple that with the amount of black behind the belt and it makes me wonder how pure it is.

The synspilum is also very questionable. I have never seen a uniformly red/pink one like that.

with the black belt he changes his color alot and sometimes he does actually only have one band. but keeo in mind he is only 5in. so i dunno its confusing. i think viejas are the hardest to id esp. when not purchased from reputable dealers.

Your BB has more red in the head area than usually seen (although some varieties have more red than others). Here's how my 6-7" BB looks. Sometimes he darkens up a bit, but usually the belt remains quite narrow. This was true when he was smaller as well.

Also notice the higher profile not elongated like a syn/bifa/etc...

That's a very chubby blackbelt, but does look like a true blackbelt color wise. When it all comes down to it, I'd say your BB is close enough for government work. Depends on your standards.
