I have seen a live specimen of what was called p. histrix, but never have I seen a verified photo, or live specimen.

i can pass you some links to good pic galleries on plecos with good IDs if you want

i thought we were talking about the a.histrix at the time, at least i was lol

nah... a.histrix and adonis have the "skinny tail" as i call it...

the body tapers sharper than a pseuda at the tail region.... thats the first glance way to easily distinguish the 2 to me.

lol ive got the amazon imports site in my favourites.
the second one, i wish i could read the language. i try searching through the different language sites, but i always end up getting stuck

Had the first one, but not the second one... unfortunately, although Japanese, I can't read to well. I know I know I'm a twinkie

Hey IoStrisciare
You should make a sticky in the Pleco section with a bunch of your links, and I'm sure several of the members could add a few links.

i lost alot in my com crash...

still collating back... the best sites to see frankly are still the japanese ones... the taiwanese take good pics and have good standards but they like to give weird names to the plecos.

once i get more i will place up a sticky for the picture hungry.
