Reactors have the water flow down, and the co2 flow up. If the water and the co2 are going the same direction, then you won't have as good a job done. Surface agitation and co2 injection is a waste of money. If you want to inject co2, then setup a canister or internal filter.

ok i see what u mean...i guess ill do a external reator and trow my power head inside...that should work well being that most kits are nothing but that...i understand now what u mean about the co2 and water smacking into eachother...didnt notice that before...i know i wouldnt be the first person with a hob and co2...im gonna try and see what happens...worst case ill get a canister...just didnt want to waste a perfetly good wet/dry...but hey its a excuse to pick up another tank huh...lol..thanks wldfya i didnt notice that about the flow...and hey...when it comes to bubble counters and co2 what is safe...trying to get stuff running tonight and set it up on the timer to see how things go next couple days

You can run co2 with a w/d or hob filter, but most of the co2 will gas off. In order to counter act this, far more co2 must be put in.
