ID this channa

hi all, can someone help me with the ID of this channa?

100% Channa Marulioides.

Here in Japan, it is known that Aqua Bonito quite often set up strong lighting in their tanks to give the impression of color variants in fish.
Truth is thats just a standard Marulioides taken under very strong blue lighting.

It's hard to tell with one so young. Sorry, I couldn't find the SN.

This pictured fish is my male Channa sp.Redfin.

The original posters pic is Channa Marulioides. I know I have a bonded pair of them that I had since Juveniles!


Here is one of my Marulioides when I got him in December '09:

And here is the same fish now at about 14-15" :

Will grow to about 26" and very thick.

thanks for all ur help.
cant wait for my Channa Marulioides to grow bigger.
currently on live feeders.
has anyone tried feeding them pellets and dead prawns?
