this is the last hint im giving.. if you know your cichla it will narrow it down to only 2 species. Thats when the real skill will come in.

Yeah, the Rio Trombetas is home to Cichla vazzoleri, which is the only one that would have such spotting. So, are you saying it's a Vazz??

^^^ this is what i found...the exact photos...where did you find yours that leads to a Cichla vazzoleri and contains its river sys

What other juvenile vazzoleri of a similar size have you compared them to? I am just wondering because I have only seen a few small vazzoleri and they were dead and preserved :)
