Yep thats a Flowerhorn. Looks ZZ.

the barring is not because of stress, its part of the pattern.

Lol nah thats not part of the pattern. Flowerhorn and other cichlids throw up bars usually when stressed but also in dark tanks, breeding, or just because.

Or because they are juveniles. It's pretty common for some species of cichlids to show the barred pattern as young fish.

True words, tho it looks like either a low grade FH or a petsmart "red texas" (which usually turns out to be a low grade FH anyways)
