males get blue faces venestus for sure and that one has some nice coloring for the size great buy.

definitely looks like a venustus, although a clearer pic will be able to make sure it isn't a livingstoni or a possible mix

males get amazing colors also when they are the dominant male and there is a female in the tank.

males... blue and gold and females are giraffe pattern... all start off giraffe pattern and then slowly the blue starts to show up on the male... thats what i saw a hint of in your pic...:D

my cousin has a 5-6" male that is absolutly beautiful. has no giraffe pattern at all anymore. extremely colorful with the female in his tank, also the most dominant fish.

Agreed... By your pic it seems to be a venustus as it seems to already be showing blue in the face.

UPDATE US WITH A NEW PIC!!! :grinno:

ps, many in the trade consider all haps, peacocks in the same group. So calling it an assorted peacock makes sense.

hmm, you know you're right. but are haps also classified under peacocks ? I mean are haps a sub group of peacocks or separate category ? they have similar snouts. its hard to tell an ahli / freyeri from a blue peacock at times.
