16 pounds is around 30-33 dollars, considering I used to live there for a period I can tell you that EVERYTHING in the UK costs an absolute fortune compared to other countries, however the fish themselves seem to be pretty good value for money (but not the tanks and equipment)
The Distochodus here cost around the same as this one, they are never really a cheap fish but they are very good algae eaters and make a good addition to a tank providing you don't have fragile easily bullied fish.
