At my LFS I picked the what was labeled as a freshwater moray (Gymnothorax polyuranodon). I plan on converting him slowly to brackish. However I want to make sure of his species. This pic is were I was aclamating him. thanksView attachment 819506

That doesn't look like g.tile. G. Tile has a snowflake pattern. Hence the name freshwater moray eel.
I think you mean "freshwater snowflake moray", and that is indeed the other common name. Some specimens are pretty bland, however, and most grow more bland as they mature. I think I can see the yellow spots in that pic, but maybe not.
