its a mono. it is a brackish water fish, so you better find it a brackish water tank, immediately. it is also asian, i believe, and you have it with african cichlids. it should be dead preety soon if you keep it in that tank
definitely a mono, and yes it should be brackish, not to say that it won't live in fresh water, but it probably won't be as healthy or grow as well, and will probably have a very shortened lifespan.
your africans will get to killing the other fish as soon as they get settled i guess
keep an eye out for them and pls move the mono and the puffer to brackish tank if you can else try and give 'em back and get some thing else and those africans need more hiding places
It's a mono, and is a brackish fish that can live in fresh water for a while, but def. need sea salt to thrive, and I've seen them in full strengh salt water, and looked really amazing in a school. Should be in brackish water tank.
wow, what a combination! you really need to keep the africans by themselves, once they get a little bigger they are very aggressive-i know since i keep africans. take the puffers and monos out, they dont belong with africans. those africans will grow a few more inches and require alot of rockwork because they like their own territory of the tank to guard... nice fish though!
