nah, I've had over 500 barramundis, and common ones are sold as food here :) According to some experts, the fish I have, there is only specimen in the United States, can anyone confirm that? 1+1...

Definitly a different species than L. Carcarifer (although they look quite similar). Even here in japan, they sell for about 90 USD for a 2 inch pc. Apparently they are only found and caught in certain rivers in northern japan.
Im just waiting for one of the LFS to "accidently" drop one of the "Akame" into the Barramundi tank. or to mislabel them...so i can get one for dirt cheap..lol
