ID this fish!!!!

Nah I don't reckon it's a barra, at that small size they almost always show their black stripey colouration. Plus even if it was a deformed barra I don't think the head would look like that.

ive had small barras that never or rarely showed any pattern?
 
looks like barramundi to me. Nandus doesn't have the high dorsel fin like the fish shown in the pic. how much is that store selling it for?
 
It looks like a barra, but the head is a little too far from the dorsal fin, everything else is fine just that head area. It could be a different species of the Lates, or it could be a diff looking barra.

As for the defomed head area, its usually the mouth thats deformed, they either have their mouth pointing to one side or another or an under cut jaw or somthing out of the ordinary, but in this species its very very ordinary. I dont think i have ever seen a "perfect" mouth on a barra and i deal with alot of barra. Also Not all have the classic black markings on the body, i have seen some that have kept their light colour throughout most parts of their lives.
