Damn I guess I got lucky then. Thanks for the response. Yeah I think he broke my old glass heater. The light would stay on, but it wasn't emitting any heat. I didn't realize this until he got ich, and after I touched the glass tank it was so cold. Replaced the heater with a sturdier one, and now he's all good again.

Depends on the namebrand of the heater....a lot of companies have had recalls like Marineland, Aqueon, Topfin, etc......send it back and u can get a brand new one or a refund....or just fax or e-mail the receipt.
The customer service is excellent, they just don't cover the cost of the fish their failed heater may have killed. :::
