The pic I posted are Armatus.

White outline= Armatus. VERY rare to see a Tat with white outline.

Congrats. Another one of the few but very lucky to WIN a mis I.D.ed Tatmatus..... I'd go buy a lottery ticket NOW while that luck is still with you.

So your saying the thread fish is Armatus also?? The frontal part looks armatus to me in some pics, but no way with that tail. Did we come to a conclusion??

No conclusion but I have never seen a Tat with the white outline on the tail. Dan says there's a white outline....

Here's another pic that shows what I have always thought to be a huge contrast in eye color.

The smaller of the group is an Armatus. The rest are Tatauaia.

Everything I se in this thread says Tat to me..... BUT the white outline. So...... Either we have a very rare Tat with a white outline, An Armatus with some Tat traits, or misinterpretation of the white outline.

Like I said, it WILL be known in a month or 2 as growthrate is unmistakable between the 2 species.

You can just send them my way if you are unhappy.:) Been looking for
a shoal of Tats anyways.

not all tats have red tails

I think he means if it's a yellow tail then why is the tail red,

The tail is orange, compared to a regular tat, if you had them both same size next to eachother you would really see the differance.
