ID this pair Falkeri or castexi?

I got the female top picture about 2 months before the ban from brazil as falkeri and larger spotted male was supposedly falkeri out of argentine. Thanks all.

The fact that the larger spotted male comes from Argentine narrows it down a lot, it's most probably a Flakeri and the female is a casterix. Sorry for the confusion, but you never can be 100% certain about these things.

First off Mike,
Glad to see your starting crap again, give it a rest man and grow up.
Second of all, you did NOT buy the ray from Tfd, you bought that ray from me last year.
I know for fact the ray came out of Argentina. It was sold to me as Falkneri. I sent you SEVERAL pics of the ray before you bought it, matter of fact if you do a search on this forum you will find the pics of that ray before you bought it and everyone on here id'd it as Falneri. What's the gig Mike ?
I still believe it to be Falkneri to this day . Now the very first pic you posted is forsure castexi, I did not sell you that one you bought that somewhere else. Look at the difference from the ray I sold you and the one other one you bought, you got the correct ray from and someone else burned you, not me. David is correct on the spotting pattern. I have done alot fo research on Falkner ( locality, patterns, tails and varients of ).
Look at the tail pattern and eye placement you will see the ray I sold you is indeed falkneri, the other is not.
Again, several pics were posted on here before you bought it and you said " I want that falkneri , ship it ". So I did. Now a year later you cryin cause you dont know what you got.
Very first pic, not falkneri, castexi.
bottom pic falkneri, done.
Darin.

Oh and another thing, notice how the spots on the ray I sold you go way into the tail, trade mark of Falkneri. Now notice that the other ray you bought from someone else as falkneri has no spotting going into the tail.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I had a younger ray which looked almost identical to your male.

It was a castexi.

thanks for picture just only proves my point the male i got is a castexi and not a falkeri the female i got from someone else is in my eyes the only falkeri. I am not making a big deal of it darin and you know very well i called you day it came in and complained it was castexi. I only blame myself. Also rays pictures have been studied by richard ross and frank both claim castexi. There tail patterns are also pretty identical. I am going to place them in shallow tubs and take better pictures this week.

Like the pic of flyingsaucer owner this is the one and only Falkneri. The pic of Amazon exotic also shows a very clear pic of an Falkneri. The round spors on the tale are typical Falkneri. The rays although beatifull animals specially the second one ( who has some sports on the tale but not like the falkneri) are both castexi.

Regards
Frank
