The second picture is not very representative of the fish since it is in a stressed state. Here are some pictures that may be helpful.

Chomp... Those aren't true tems...

The first is an Azul and the second appears to be an "xingu".

Granted tems have the solid lateral line, but that doesn't mean every solid lined cichla is a tem....

this one looks to be a tem/mono "temoculus" i had a few.it has monos' spots and a tem line across.sometimes the line dissapear and it looks like a straight mono am i correct???
