Id this rainbow fish

So a while back I went to the greater Pittsburgh aquarium society auction and I bought this male and female of rainbow fish because they were extremely rare I was told and would have very nice color so I paid around 60 for the pair and on the bag it said they were from creek for some reason skull creek keeps popping in my head

My old lfs had these called them banner rainbowfish

Might be Melanotaenia maccullochi and Skull Creek was the location of the original stock of these fish. Since you got them at the Pittsburgh auction, it's possible they are from Eric Bodrock as he has had a few different species of Rainbowfish that he's brought to club auctions.
