I ran into the same prob once. A guy told me he had a pair of hystrix for sale. They both turned out to be orbignyi. They were asking 125 each if I remember correctly no would day if it's private no more than $100. Tell them to knock off 20% for the mislabel haha

I made him an offer because he's got parrot fish too, but they are gross. orange with brownish black faded.


So now, I need to rethink my strategy.

1st of all the tall body structure... Compare tail to the link above. Look closely you can see pattern... There is absolutely no doubt!

In the ops pics, it looked the ray was moving in one and stil in another. Now that you mention the height, I see it in one Picture. What are you seeig in the pattern? It's so washed out all I see is the very light markings around the disc edge. Is the substrate making the ray so washed out?
