Id this rescue fish

The rescue I work with took in several of these fish today we were told by the original owners sister they were perch I wanted to verify that and find out the species

Definitely black crappie (Pomoxis nigromaculatus)

well we also received this one which was housed in a different tank and reddit says it is a white perch are they right? And can they be kept together?

I don't have personal experience keeping the two together, but chances are they would be fine.

Those are both Crappies. Look like Black crappies but hard to tell from the pictures. I used to keep these in my tank. Here's a quick guide to tell the difference between white and black crappies http://bluegillfishing.us/black-crappie-vs-white-crappie-the-difference/

I have 2 in my tank. Once acclimated, aggressive eaters, will get to the food quick, got mine on pellets,krill, silversides,squid, erc
No agression towards tankmates that wont fit in mouth
