I agree that it doesn't look like a gold severum. Where did you get it from?

Pretty sure it's not rotkiel, severus or notatus....so by elimination it's probably an efasciatus....or something very usual.

I got it at an LFS when I first started getting back into a more docile community. It was in the tank with 'red line' severums but looked a little different so i picked it (now wishing I hadnt). It sometimes shows nice color but mostly real drab.

Ive got a porker notatus that stays light in color and my other shy one thats got real nice dark bars and red eyes. I cant figure these guys out.

Smaller one doesnt look like a Notatus to me.
The larger one doesnt look like a Redline Severum either.

My guess they are both Efasciatus.
Looks almost identical to some I used to keep when they were their size.
The scales turn a more irridescent turquoise/blueish color as they grow older.

Like RD and Midas at the LFS though...
If you dont know who bred them its probably hybrid.

The small one is def a pale notatus. The spotting is always there and the stripes come and go. The Notatus are f1 stock from Jeff Rapps.

The larger one my be Efasciatus as it is developing an iridescent sheen.
