ID this Severum please

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The small one is def a pale notatus. The spotting is always there and the stripes come and go. The Notatus are f1 stock from Jeff Rapps.

The larger one my be Efasciatus as it is developing an iridescent sheen.
Yeah I just dont see any spotting in the picture.

thats entirely possible. the flash washed out the bars too. i never question ID when I get fish from reputable people like Jeff and Ken. The severum in question was bought at an LFS and they are never correct.

The larger fish is not a gold. It looks like a washed out green.

It kind of looked like Heroina sp. but I highly doubt those are just floating around in the US anywhere. If so, I need to find them.

it rarely colors up. it almost always just looks dull and drab :( im hoping it matures and looks better or i just may trade it in. its obviously making it hard to ID. theres just not much to go on.

im going to try to take another pic today or tomorrow but I cant find any matches online. is there a good severum website I can use as a reference. I don't want to keep a fish that I dont know what it is.
