I agree on Pseed, unless you get better pics. The color balance makes it hard to see details right.
Not all populations have a red ear spot. The ones I caught in the Cincinnati, OH usually didn't.
Funny story I just now rembered - They're neat little fish, and quite intelligent (or at least ravenous). I had a baby when I was a kid that I caught in a puddle in a dried up creek, and I actually taught him to jump out of the water to take food. It was the coolest thing ever when I was like 10 yrs old, lol.
