ID this syndontis please

i got given this syndontis about ayear a go but still havent been able to identify him. hes about 11", and is a gorgeous addition to my oscar tank. we barely see him as he hides all the time lol apart from feeding time (typical) lol... could you help identify him for me i would love to find out more about him. iv been told he might be a hybrid. thnx

thanks... haha.. i went through the same thing about 6 yrs ago.. my guy is getting older now... enjoy .... we are very lucky to own a rare synodontis.
